Porton Down special gas mask. dated 4/42

Description

Super rare special gas mask as used at the experimental establishment at Porton down. Where the British government carried out testing and production of chemical and biological weapons. Mask in excellent condition converted from a Mk V stockinette covered face piece with the tube fitting blanked off and a special filter fitting with internal valve fitted to the microphone tube. I believe a number of different special filters could be fitted to this mask but this has the standard light pattern filter fitted as that is how it came to me.
